Cornerstone University Ranks in U.S. News Top Online Programs
With creative approaches to learning, Cornerstone University’s online bachelor’s and M.B.A. programs have ranked in U.S. News & World Report’s 2020 Best Online Programs.
Announced on Jan. 14, 2020, CU was ranked No. 2 for best online bachelor’s program in Michigan and No. 66 nationwide in the over 1,600 programs assessed. The online Master of Business Administration degree program ranked No. 5 among Michigan schools.
These rankings from U.S. News were based on factoring in components of online learning, including influences such as student engagement, supportive services and faculty credentials.
For busy working adults, this emphasis on features that allow for flexibility and excellence in the classroom can empower them to engage in a learning environment they had not thought possible. CU’s online programs through its Professional & Graduate Studies (PGS) division are dedicated to equipping students where they’re at.
“Each year CU has risen on this annual ranking, demonstrating our continued dedication to caring for adult students by providing a supportive and convenient online learning environment,” said Trevor McCready, director of online learning at PGS. “This ranking is further recognition of the earnest work of all our faculty and staff who expertly implement best practices to deliver an online education that is commensurate with quality face-to-face programs.”
An Industrious Approach
Beginning back in 2005, Cornerstone’s online programs have combined rigorous academic excellence with a supportive environment that empowers students to thrive in a learning format that is conducive to their lifestyle. Whether at the bachelor’s or master’s level, students overcome obstacles and persevere in their ambitions in order to achieve what they’ve set out to do.
Like the experience of on-campus learning at PGS, online courses are taken just one at a time, right after the other. This lock-step format provides assurance that students know what to expect and keep their momentum as they advance through their program in just under two years. Classmates and instructors connect via discussion forums, videoconferencing and other digital tools that help them remain dedicated as they excel in their goals.
“Our team employs an industrious approach to the entire adult learner experience from the initial conversation with a student up to graduation,” said James Link, executive director of enrollment services at PGS. Features like a flexible format, exceptional customer service prior to enrollment and support services available while a student is enrolled are collectively interwoven into an innovative learning environment that meets the needs of adult students.
Beyond mere convenience, the online undergraduate and graduate programs at CU integrate a student’s real work experiences as they advance and excel in cultivating knowledge, skills and application that makes a difference as they transform their lives and careers with tenacity and grit. Combined with the passion of staff and faculty to seeing students thrive, busy working adults are given the opportunity to chase their goals in a nationally-recognized, reliable online format.
