The broadcasting field is growing exponentially. There are constantly new and innovative ways to host a radio show, deliver the news or even produce a podcast. A broadcast communication degree from Cornerstone University prepares you in both the traditional and technical aspects of radio, television and telecommunications.
Through this degree program, you’ll develop skills in effective broadcast communication as well as skills in journalism, audio production, news writing and reporting. You’ll be trained to become a news anchor, radio broadcaster, sports announcer or anything in between.
A bachelor’s degree in broadcast communication from Cornerstone will prepare you for multiple career tracks. You’ll be equipped with skills that you can use to produce radio shows, work behind the scenes or in front of the camera for a news organization or work as a news writer.
Our graduates end up in broadcast positions all over the country and across the world, from top tier news organizations to newspapers and sports teams. Skills in broadcast communication are invaluable, as you will learn not only how broadcasting works but how to effectively communicate messages across airwaves.
Through this program, you will develop skills in public speaking, shooting and editing your own news packages and how to write for various mediums such as blogs, radio advertising and sports reporting. These skills, all taught through a biblical worldview, will empower you to become an effective journalist, broadcaster and communicator.

As a student in the Communication, Media & Music Division, you will have the opportunity to study communication from a cultural perspective through a two-week study abroad trip in Ireland, London or Jordan.
