Misty Emmons serves as the chief nursing administrator and assistant professor of nursing. She has extensive experience as a nurse practitioner in cardiovascular care and management of hospitalized patients.

Misty received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Samford University in 2011 and her Master of Science in Nursing from South University in 2015. She is a registered nurse in the state of Michigan and is a certified adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner. She has served as a nurse practitioner, specializing in cardiothoracic surgery, cardiovascular medicine and inpatient oncology. Along with being a professor at Cornerstone, she works at Cancer and Hematology Centers of Western Michigan.

Misty and her husband, Aaron, have been married for 16 years and have three children.
