Be Prepared For More

An associate degree in TESOL (teaching English to speakers of other languages) prepares you for more. More in your future classroom, faithfully instructing future generations. More in your walk with Christ, understanding His deep love for all people. And more within yourself, equipped with a drive to educate and instruct toward a brighter future.

For information about obtaining an undergraduate education degree with a minor in TESOL, explore our B.A. in Elementary Education or B.A. in Secondary Education.

Practicums

All traditional undergraduate students are involved in a practicum, which is a hands-on learning experience, as part of their program. Our education faculty partners with area schools to provide a rich experience in an English as a Second Language (ESL) setting.

Program Learning Outcomes

The TESOL program reflects our commitment to developing students’ knowledge, skills and attitudes in five distinct yet interconnected areas.

  • Specialized Knowledge
  • Applied Knowledge and Collaborative Learning
  • Intellectual Skills
  • Civic and Global Learning
  • Biblical Worldview Integration
