Dr. Ryan Roberts serves as dean of assessment and curriculum at Cornerstone University. Previously, he taught at Cornerstone for nine years as a professor of Old Testament.

Dr. Roberts received his Bachelor of Arts in biblical studies from Clarks Summit University and his Master of Arts in biblical studies with a focus on the Dead Sea Scrolls at Trinity Western University. He then attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and received both his Master of Arts and Ph.D. in Near Eastern languages and cultures. His dissertation focused on an interdisciplinary study of earthquakes in the ancient Near East and ancient Israel.

Prior to his time at Cornerstone University, Dr. Roberts served as an instructor at UCLA. His study interests include the Hebrew Bible, the textual transmission of the Dead Sea Scrolls and natural disasters/trauma in antiquity. Dr. Roberts enjoys visiting national parks, gardening and spending time outdoors with his family.
