Workplace-Ready Graduates
Workplace-Ready Graduates
CU is committed to preparing students to be ready for the workplace upon graduation. This means our curriculum and cocurricular activities forge together such that students gain the skills necessary to be prepared for the workforce.
Aligned with research-backed and industry-endorsed workplace competencies, students have opportunities to engage in skills companies desire in great employees. CU students receive more than just classroom knowledge, but also practical skills and transferable experience.
Through our on-campus work program, internships for every student, CU LEAD opportunities, and Career and Life Calling resources, CU students get the workplace training that gives our graduates an advantage in the job market.
While we can’t guarantee who gets hired, we do pledge that you can be ready. We are so confident in your readiness that Career and Life Calling offers services to graduates for up to six months after graduation to help with job placement.
If at any time after you graduate, you or your employer finds you are not proficient in one of these competencies, CU is committed to offering graduates options to brush up on these skills. Some options include referrals with our partner industry leaders, access to career services resources, or specified online training opportunities.
“Career readiness is a foundation from which to demonstrate requisite core competencies that broadly prepare the college educated for success in the workplace and lifelong career management.” — National Association of Colleges and Employers
